High Holiday Services – 2014
We gather together to begin the high holiday season, reflecting on the year that has passed and opening our hearts to the possibilities of the year ahead.
This year will be the fifth year that the Temple Beth Israel Preservation Society sponsors High Holiday Services at the Temple. The ritual is based on the traditional service with some new elements designed to encourage meaningful prayer and reflection. Temple Beth Israel will once again be filled with familiar faces and sounds as the congregation celebrates Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Services will be led this year by our own Alan Turner assisted by members of our Ritual Committee. The observances will provide an inclusive opportunity for thoughtful prayer and reflection. We look forward to your participation.
Here is the schedule:
Erev Rosh Hashanah: September 24 at 7:00 pm
First Day of Rosh Hashanah: September 25, 9:30 am to noon, followed by a traditional riverside Tashlikh Service.
Second Day of Rosh Hashanah: Friday, September 26, 9:30 to noon.
Erev Yom Kippur – Kol Nidre: Friday, October 3, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
