A Tradition of Light:  Moving Toward the Future

In Judaism – indeed, in nearly every religious and cultural tradition – there is a story  (or ten) about the importance of light.  Be it God declaring “Let There Be Light” in Genesis or the Creator rubbing his face “and there stood the Sun-God” in some Native American stories, we humans have long attached a ceremonial importance to the emergence from darkness.

Here at Temple Beth Israel Preservation Society, we invite you to  join our own journey to “Let There Be Light.”  Our roots in the Danielson community go back over sixty years, and so do our facilities.  As an organization committed to helping heal the world, we naturally want to care for the planet itself.  Our “Let There Be Light” campaign seeks to update and improve our electrical fixtures and wiring to save energy and create a greener environment while bringing our building into the modern age of technology.

Illuminating Our Home:  Warming Things Up

Everything TBI Preservation Society does is in the name of enlightening the community, and that starts at home, quite literally in this case.  We want our space itself to match the welcoming environment of its inhabitants and to illuminate the building’s openness.

Our electrical plans will bring new and improved lighting to our community, rendering our home safe and energy-efficient.  Current fixtures will be replaced with LED-based systems, outlets will be added, and wiring will be brought up to code.  We will be reducing our carbon footprint while creating a comfortable, bright, and more functional space.
